Projects

Order for Sewon Heavy Machinery Co.,Ltd. in South Korea, for LHC3 Separation Section at Dow Chemical plant in Terneuzen, The Netherlands:

  • 7 towers
  • 1 reactor in three stages
  • 35 horizontal and vertical drums

The calculations we performed contained the specific design Code calculations, in this case Stoomwezen "Rules for Pressure vessels", for the above mentioned equipment, with next dimensions:

- towers with shell I.D. between 1250 mm up to 3700 mm and height between 25 and 60 m;
- reactor three stages type, with three stacked shells contained in the same tower type structure, with shell I.D. 2800 mm, each shell approx. 8 m, total equipment height 36m;
- drums with shell I.D. between 1000 mm up to 4500 mm; for some of the vertical drums tower calculations were also performed.

The materials from witch the equipment was manufactured consisted from:

- plain C.S. ASTM A516-Gr.70
- austenitic S.S. 304L and 316L
- 9% Ni alloy steel

We performed also calculations which were not Code related as:

- nozzle loads calculations as per WRC 107
- FEM analyses
- lifting devices calc's for vertical equipment for both horizontal (start of the lifting) and vertical position (end of the lifting)
- trunions calculations
- tailing lugs calculations for vertical equipment
